Duesenberg Starplayer TV Ringo Sheena signature

You remember the ultra green turtle shell or the black alligator skin Duesenberg Starplayers TV

Well, here is the black and gold leaf checkered one, a limited edition signature guitar for Japanese rockstar Ringo Sheena, same cooler than cool model with its art deco gear - whole in shining gold - with another outrageous finish...

Enjoy!

Duesenberg Starplayer TV in Ninja Turtle finish

Who can deny that Duesenberg makes some of the most splendid guitars out there?

This is the emerald green pearltop Duesenberg Starplayer, a guitar you can't avoid noticing with its outrageous finish combined with the most elegant design and gear - something we already enjoyed on the Outlaw - with a more sober but still over the edge black crocodile style look...

The Duesenberg tremelos - here it's a Tremola -  have a very good reputation - they feel like a good alternative to Bigsbys.

I feel like one day I should try to earn money if I ever want to have such a guitar - I should compose a hit song...

Duesenberg chrome custom by Zinc

This gleaming artifact is - according to its eBay seller - a Duesenberg-based custom work by French luthier Zinc (about which I couldn't find any information by the way).

It has for sure the characteristic humbucker/P90 configuration of hollow-body Duesenbergs, also the Duesenberg knobs and switch (plus one extra that might be a killswitch), but the body doesn't really fit to any Duesenberg model I can identify: the F-hole is too wide, the cutaway too pointy and the body too round to be a Starplayer - the closest model to it... Also the neck is for sure no Duesenberg, but a strat copy (carrying a Zinc logo) - so it could be that only the gear made it to this custom - then the body is a mystery... Love the chrome finish though!

Duesenberg Starplayer TV Outlaw

duesenberg starplayer TV outlaw

A couple of weeks ago I posted about Duesenberg guitars and I said I would post soon about my favorite Duesenberg model, the Starplayer TV Outlaw.
Here it is with its beautiful/kitsch black alligator finish, thinline body, neck P90 PU and bridge humbucker, chrome art deco pickguard, the famous upgraded Bigsby-like tremolo...

Here again, the photo is too nice and the guitar brand new, I still wish I'd see how this guitar looks after a few years of stage!

Duesenberg 49er

duesenberg 49er

I've been posting German guitars regularly here, but so far I never had the opportunity to show the classiest of them all, the Duesenbergs. Actually these guitars are so luxurious that's it's hard to find a photo that doesn't seem to come from an expensive erotic magazine - and they hardly ever show up second-hand on eBay...

Anyway, let me finally introduce you to the Duesenberg 49er, with its 21st century art deco retro-futurist look, strings-thru-body bridge, bridge humbucker and neck P90... No vintage here but an inevitable vintage look!

One day I hope I can show here an Outlaw model with its black snake skin finish - there's one here but the pics suck.
